I'm blown away on two counts:

    1. A stunning and mesmorising timelapse - absolutely amazing.
    2. Tom Lowe's comment - high and well deserved praise indeed.

I particularly loved the astro sequences; what can you say for 2'52?

Hi. Oh, yes, the place is stunning. The journey there and possibility to experience it is great. I would love to be there and do what you can.
And all commenting viewers love it. So some critic now :-)
Stars rotating, tide moving, clowds flowing - it is not enough for me. The landscape is as it is - you can't chnage it for purpose of film making. But I miss more landscape features. I also miss some story here. Even if it were to be transition story, something more coherent than I see. Especially after creation like, for instance, from Tome Lowe.
However - yes - I like it, over all :-D
BTW, have you been to out Cameimage in Łódź when you to receive Golden Frog for "Salt"? This is my home town :-D
Unfortunately the festiva has left our city this year although we hope it will be back someday.
So - greetings from Łódź, Poland!

You have some great shots there. Great locations as well. However, I am not a big fan of the post treatment. Especially speed remapping with the frame blending on starry shots look not really well.

What's interesting is to see that the stars go the other way than here :)

    Greetgins from Poland.
  • Murray Fredericks 9 months ago
There's no frame blending or speed remapping here...
  • Patryk Kizny plus 9 months ago
So maybe it was accidental or a mistake in post? I am sure I see it in a few places. For example check the shot at 02:44 - if you look carefully you see what I mean. If you pause at any frame you'll see that there are 2 frames blended and the stars are duplicated with a time offset.
  • Marty Blumen 9 months ago
looks like a fps conversion rate issue.
  • Murray Fredericks 9 months ago
    Marty, spot on.

Unfortunately imported into after effects at 30fps and edited in FCP at 25fps. It's on the list of things to fix, but that's quite a bit of work as all the edit points will be out

After effects has the import fps in preferences not in the project setup or composition settings...we learn these things the hard way :)
  • Marty Blumen 9 months ago
    Afterfx can be totally scattered!

best of luck with the work - great stuff!

I am a landscape photographer, and I cannot figure out how the hell you are setting up your exposures. They progress so fluidly from time exposures (pre-dawn) to broad daylight exposures (which seem to use a ND filter).

    Anyway, STUNNING work.
