This past summer, with the support of the Copp-Dash Inspire Award, Tim DeRoehn and I traveled to the Charakusa Valley of Pakistan to attempt some of the many inspiring peaks. The summer of 2010 saw some of the heaviest rains in Pakistan's history with devastating floods hitting the country and thousands of people being affected. Rain was reported even at Camp 3 on K2!
We experienced the amazing, welcoming people of Pakistan many of whom became good friends. This was in sharp contrast to the reports and perception in the US of widespread anti-American sentiment. This 4 part video chronicles our experience.
