VG10 - Anti-Moire Caprock 1.4 Test

Tested the Caprock 1.4 for moire.

Without Filter: Camera set to Contrast -1, Sharpening -2
With Filter: Contrast +1, Sharpening +3

Caprock scene were extra sharpened and also 3-Way color corrected in FCP. Non filter scenes not corrected.

I plan to shoot in 1080p but make the final movies in 720p. 720p looks nice on iPads and TVs. Shoots like this do not show real 1080p resolution from the VG10. Either aliasing/moire or loss in detail with filter.

Note: I think it is about effective till 50-80mm. Then it gets too soft.

I tested before:

Caprock 1.0: too strong
Caprock 2.0 + 2.8: hardly any effect
