"We all avail of all these services - the ambulances, the hospitals, the fire service - and it's very important to everyone that these services aren't cut back so far that they become unusable."

As part of our series 'Before the Storm: Voices on the Economy' we spoke to a number of people participating in ICTU's rally against cuts on Wednesday 29th October.

They spoke to us about the importance of protecting jobs and services and about the growing campaign in opposition to the Conservative-led government's planned cuts and austerity measures.
