Gina Michaels demonstrates her direct bronze pouring technique -- take a ladle, dip it into a pot of 2000-degree molten metal, and pour into open sand. She and Independent Curator Jenny Jaskey discuss Gina's spontaneous, collage-like sculpture. The work includes a 10-ft-tall homage to Brancusi cast from the artist's feet, a bronze cactus that sprouts hands and feet, and other assorted human/plant hybrids.
