As a class assignment shot in New Jersey. We were supposed to do adaptations of short stories or out of a book and I chose 'The Reader' by Bernhard Schlink. Personally I would never have chosen a story that wasn't mine but you know how school destroys. The narrative structure is original, however.

Unfortunately I couldn't get enough crew on board for this one. A full film adaptation of this book is coming out in 2009 starring Kate Winslet and when it does, it's going to be so embarrassing.

This was screened at at the Annexe Theatre, Central Market, Kuala Lumpur. In conjunction with Filmmakers Annonymous 7.

This film was made for academic purposes only. I have no copyrights to this story.

Actually the dialog is mostly taken straight from the book itself because I couldn't stand to debauch the sanctity of literature! I was hesitant in converting a book but I still like my take on it and I had lots of fun with my actors.
