Rosa, a domestic worker in Mexico City, is at a crossroads in her relationship, her job and her life.

A short film shot in Mexico City currently in post-production. The above excerpts are shots from the film shot on the Canon 7D. The final film is 15 minutes.

Featuring Miriam Balderas (from HBO Latino's hit series "Capadocia") as Rosa and Fidel Zerda as Manuel.

"Despertar," which means "Awaken" in Spanish was inspired by my observations and conversations with several domestic workers while I was living in Mexico City. The story is based on real facts and is dedicated to all the women who struggle to better their lives through honest work and who are often invisible in the world they work in.
