I was born in the Riga 1st Hospital but first seven years of my life I lived in a small apartment built-in in the balks of three storey house on the Janis Street. This house is close by St. Janis Church and it Parsonage and located in a block surrounded by the Skarnu Street, the Janis Yard and Kaleju Street. This is the block where Riga City was born in 1201. Often I joke about the fact that Riga and I were born in the same place. The world is changing every day but some places are still the same as tens of years ago. Therefore I would like to contribute to the great "One Day On Earth" project two symbols – the Daugava River which flows through the city and represents Variables, and the oldest block of city which sticks in my memories and symbolizes Constants. I asked my friend, designer and historian, Artis Buks to participate in the project. We were happy to meet a Russian tour guide and a street piper who brought colorful nuances in our shooting all of a sudden. This video contains cuts of the raw footage.
