There are few things in this world more entertaining than laughing babies. It's the sound of pure joy.

For the techies: I'm in the process of changing HD camcorders. I grew tired of the tape noise on my HV20. Short of moving an external mic a good two feet away from the camera, it was a constant battle in Vegas trying to get rid of the noise. I'm done with that!

The new camera is the Sony HDR-SR11. It's hard drive and memory stick based, so there is no tape noise. Luckily I built a quad-core machine earlier this year, so editing AVCHD is a piece of cake.

Hope you enjoy the laughs.

Yea this camera is sweet :)

I also built a Quad core before getting this camera, good thing considering my last computer would have just spit flames if I threw AVCHD at it LOL

U have a happy baby there.

I've seen detailed reports how both the SR11 and HG20 have hard drive noise.
If noise is bugging you, the HF10/HF100 is the best choice camera.

Thanks Joseph...the SR11 can record to memory stick, which I use exclusively. The hard drive is a nice alternative for lengthy trips, and if there is noise during hard drive mode, it's nothing like mini-dv tape noise.
