Landscapes: Volume One
A year's compilation of my time lapse work. All shot on the Canon 5D2 and processed in Adobe After Effects. The majority of the shots are in my beautiful home state of Arizona. Goblin Valley State Park and Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah also make an appearance.

Every clip is a RAW image sequence (5616 x 3744) that I rendered out as a 1080P 23.976fps Quick Time movie. The motion control is achieved using servo motors.

Beautiful footage!
I am thinking of getting Kessler Crane's solutions, as they can be used for multiple purposes (Dolly, Slider, Crane, Tripod).
Would love to learn more from you in terms of how to set the camera exposures...
Instead of doing timelapses (stills), have you ever considered doing HDR video? Feel free to join this group on Vimeo: vimeo.com/groups/hdrvideo
At 2:52 that's still a timelapse, right? Not an actual HDR video recording... or is it?

I'm stunned with so much beauty in a few minutes. Great!

Unfortunately, it is difficult to shoot things like the milky way here with all the light pollution. Hopefully, one day in Arizona :)
I just picked up a 2rpm gear motor that I'm hoping to attach to my slider somehow so I can add some movement to my timelapses. Any chance you could post a couple photos of your rig?
cant wait to see more.
That inspired me and pushed forward to do some stuff...
Thanks for sharing & keep it up!
EVERYTHING you need is there somewhere in the forums
However, I really think that the usage of sporadic crossfades in the edit comes across as awkward, and as a viewer, it distracts from the experience of perceiving your images. I'm not sure if it is the inelegant fade interpolation, or the way that the two images combine when partially faded, or just the randomness with which the technique is made use of, but I would seriously reconsider this editing strategy.
Inspiring work, thank you for sharing.
A great work you must be very proud of this video, congratulations.
