As part of our effort to link genes to disease for key areas such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and obesity, we have put together a variety of Disease Portals. These list the genes and quantitative trait loci (regions of the genome found to be associated with a disease but where the exact gene hasn't yet been identified) that researchers have found to be involved in human, mouse and rat. This is a brief tutorial on how to use these disease portal websites.
