Backlot took on the dual challenges of working in the extremely fast-paced and busy environment of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, and at the same time creating a message for Gameday that relayed the excitement and thrills of their mission.
Multiple small camera crews were utilized to "get in and out fast" in over 150 very crowded locations in 25 days.
It was shot almost exclusively using Canon 5D's and 7D's. The edit involved going through almost 5 terabytes of media files, and there will be many more webisodes to come as we plumb the opportunities that this once-in-a-lifetime shoot afforded for footage!
This project is a great example of the powerful access that dslr cameras can create in tough shooting environments.
