For those who refused to accept God's free gift of pardon for their sins through Jesus Christ ... John's story is just a small reminder of how painful that moment in time is going to be, because for eternity following that final Judgment Day, there will be no second chance to get right with God.
Logically think about it. Either Jesus Christ paid full penalty for all our sins by taking our punishment for them by dying on the Cross ... or He didn't. We can believe He didn't ... but we can not PROVE He didn't. What could possibly be wrong in assuming it is TRUE, and adjusting one's life accordingly?
Most people will have one or more reasons to pick this testimony apart, and we respect their right to do so.
