Macaronopita
My mother Barbara is showing us how to cook macaronopita (also makaronopita), a pasta-based Greek pie recipe. It's traditional of the Epirus department of Greece. One of the best foods to take with you on picnics or trips.
Shot with a cheap Kodak V1233 digicam. The video has no editing niceties or direction, it's just a point-and-shoot handheld video at my mother's kitchen.

thanks for sharing Eugenia :)
I liked this; I could see what to do very easily, and I loved the fact that it was speeded up yet still visually accessible with no voiceover required. I also thought the editing was spot on: plain and simple, just what was needed.
The food does look quite delicious, I shall try this (and he wonders to himself — slipping strangely in to the third person — what a little aubergine would do to the recipe, too).
Also, anyone who loves cooking vids and hasn't checked out Average Betty on Vimeo, take a look here:

Plus, although your mother doesn't have a Vimeo account, consider her added as a virtual contact. ;)
Thanks to Eugenia for the precious video!

Yeah, try this recipe, is pretty good. Just use a bit less olive oil. My mother is going a bit crazy with it.
I see you are renting photo equipment btw. Are you getting a 7D? Can't wait for it.
