This is great! My only question is.... After jail breaking, are you awarded the ability to delete multiple images at a time from the IPAD? Deleting one image at a time really gets old!

Can I use a Eye-Fi 4GB Connect X2 SDHC Memory Card instead of the 8gb Pro X2 on my 7D !? whats the difference !?
  • Serge Taveras 1 year ago
The pro does not require for you to have a always on WIFI
the pro creates its own ad-hoc so it can be used any where as shown in the video even on an underground subway moving train!

  • Serge Taveras 1 year ago
Eric what you want to do is get a Teradek Cube

hmmm what about connecting this to mac book pro?
  • FStoppers plus 1 year ago
sure but what's fun in that? It's easy to connect a camera to a laptop and shoot tethered.

Awesome tip. Good luck to those who enter the contest too.
Just out of curiosity, what camera was used to record this video? And what's Lee taking photos with?
  • FStoppers plus 1 year ago

Just wanted to add that those using a camera with compact flash can always get this adapter to have the EYE FI work for them, other adapters out there are cheaper but this one is known to work.

Does it work for sending video too? If it does..... Man, that's a powerfull tool for video assist on a film set. Just give a client and Ipad. No wires. Awesome!
  • FStoppers plus 1 year ago
you cannot live stream video, not yet...

Was all sounding really great until he said "JAILBREAK YOUR IPAD...", oops, don't think so!
  • FStoppers plus 1 year ago
Why not? Don't believe the hype behind Apple knowing what is best for your hardware :)

Great video! Do you perchance happen to know the song in the background? I thought the lyrics were pretty tongue-in-cheek. Thanks!

Are you shooting RAW+jpg? Is it displaying only the JPG?
  •
  • Mihai Baloianu 1 year ago
nice, but it only works with SD cards. no CF's.
  • Maksim Bolotov 11 months ago
Does not work with any eye-fi x2 generation cards
  •
  • Interesting vid but man....watch your friggin' audio. It's horribly overmodulated. Not good.
  • FStoppers plus 1 year ago
I know it kills me. We used my iPhone to record audio and it usually sounds great but this time I used earbuds that had gone through the wash. Didn't realize how bad it sounded until I got home but then it was too late. It won't happen again.

  • Yosep Sugiarto 1 year ago
do you have that card in shape of CF?
  •
  • Shirley Peters 1 year ago
Very tempting... but I have bought the eye-fi card and it loads very slowly over the net. Is it faster when tethered to the i-pad? I take L + Raw ... so each image is big.
  • FStoppers plus 1 year ago
what camera do you have? The D300s lets us tether the SD for jpeg and use the CF for RAWs.
  •
  • Ski-ter Jones plus 1 year ago
Does this work with the Canon 7d? It uses CF.
  •
  • Dahveed 1 year ago
On my D7000 I would use the eye-fi in slot 2 and set it up for jpg and keep the raw on the card in slot 1? Very neat, except for having to jailbreak the iPad part.

I could still the the eye-fi to load straight to my iMac couldn't I?

Do you know any good adaptor for CF? I have found this one but I'm not sure it works with the EYE-FI Pro X2...

    Thanks

"How to directly tether your camera to an iPad for $750 us" would have been a better title lol

but very impressive! If I had the money and if Eye-fi had a CF card I would do it.
