Francine Bell comments on good health and retirement:
"An Australian Bureau of Statistics study last month found that older workers aged 45 to 74 have lower rates of heart diseases, diabetes, obesity and arthritis than their non-working peers.
The study acknowledges that people not in the workforce includes those too ill to hold down a job. But older workers who were say, diabetic or arthritic, were still more likely to rate their health as very good or excellent compared to their retired counterparts.
