York County Community Action explains their services in this segment of an October 2010 Waterboro Selectmen's Meeting. YCCAC serves residents in need throughout York County. Services include fuel bill and emergency heating assistance, foreclosure prevention, child services, medical and mental health services, homelessness prevention, homebuyer education, and a host of services geared toward self-sufficiency.
In their own words, "The mission of York County Community Action Corporation is to alleviate the effects of poverty, attack its underlying causes and to promote the dignity and self-sufficiency of the people of York County, Maine."
