Looks very interesting! It would be very nifty if it had a dedicated FX plugin to work with the multitouch interface, because a lot of the demo is based on controlling (native?) FX.
btw cool teaser except for that last 2 seconds ;)

  • Konkreet Labs 1 year ago
    hi aurex, thanks :)
what do you mean with native FX?
KP can control anything that receives OSC or MIDI. this little demo video was all Ableton Live and Kore2.

    Hi guys,
Congrats with the app. I am really looking forward to play with it but a few personal remarks.
1- i find 'the background' a little distractive, hence anoying. I see the visual candy aspect of it but performative i have my questions vis à vis concentration.
2- if you continue to enhance what i yet present, then i would suggest to incorporate the 'foreground' IN the 'background' in some way or the other. Now it looks like a schizo app :))
3- i not a fan of the triangle aesthetics (buttons in the corner) because for me they don't mix with the background and the foreground.
Apart from that it's still hard to 'judge' what the final outcome will be.
    Curious!
    Cheers,
    f

dam! looks like something made for a touch interface!

i would get an ipad just for this fictionality as a controller.
would be all so neat to see it as a stand alone device, the sounds would produced on the ipad.

either way this would make a perfect fit in my set up. cant waiT!

    @frederik de wilde
thanks for the feedback. the graphical interface is customizable to some extant. so you can change elements, remove them etc. and do the same (individual or in-sync) with the visual output of KP (i.e. decide what will be visible for projection)

Maybe it's just me, but as a musician and interactive designer, this seems non-sensical.
  • Carlos Saraiva 1 year ago
Non-sensical to me its a good thing. It forces me to find a pattern or your my own way to deal with things.. But i have to try the software firs to see what this is about. (=

Yeah, looking foward to test it. ^^

we do NEED nonsensical thinking.. it opens up new ideas..
if you still want sense then many developers - manufacturers will make sure you are able to buy their apps & hardware..

Personally, ANYTHING that moves us away from keyboard - mouse and more gestural is good ..

So Konkreet .. my feedback would be .. Go Wild ! pick up the customers you want and ignore trying to please everyone..

Im all for more "out there" in fact the more weirder the better !

well done.. now keep taking us down the rabbit hole.

    SICKEST THING IVE SEEN!!!!

    I WANT ONE!
  •
  • excellent ! but I don't know how we can control a host (for exemple Logic Pro 9) via an iPad ??
  •
  • Konkreet Labs 1 year ago
@matt when your iPad is on the same network as your computer, you can control it (wirelessly of course) via OSC.
OSC is converted to midi, when needed, using e.g OSCulator.

    @ konkreet labs

why go threw all that trouble. the next ipad updat supports fulll midi, and so dose this app
  •
  • Konkreet Labs 1 year ago
    @ somthing
true. midi support comes to iOS but nobody really knows exactly how it will be implemented. we can sure expect Konkreet Performer to support direct midi at some point, maybe even already on release. we just can't promise anything yet :)

on another note - working with OSCulator is zero trouble. it's actually a very convenient "wiring" tool, where all parameters are nicely listed and can be mapped to your DAW/vst .. it's very straight forward to work with.

Want to try out, beta testers? Already using Touch OSC and that is cool but I can see how your app may be different with regards to multi-control of multiple paramaters
  •
  • When is this coming out? Can't wait!
