The Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) Federal Facilities Forum (FFF) held a webinar on Oct. 21 to discuss the recent report "State Experiences with Natural Resource Damage Assessment at Nuclear Weapons Complex Sites."
The webinar featured a discussion with federal panelists:

Larry Zaragoza (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency)
Matthew Duchesne (U.S. Dept. of Energy)
Several state officials were also on hand to share information about their state's experiences with natural resource damage assessment (NRDA) including:
Carl Spreng (Colorado DPHE)
Amy Bush (Missouri DNR)
Thomas Schneider (Ohio EPA)
Debbie Duren (Tennessee DEC)
Larry Goldstein (Washington DOE)
ECOS staff presented a slideshow on the ECOS report with assistance from consultants Pete Maggiore and Dennis Pepe (Edgewater Technical Associates). The presentation included a primer on the regulatory background surrounding NRDA.
The webinar focused primarily on NRDA at nuclear weapon sites, but other hazardous contaminated sites were also discussed.
