Karmalizm '08

Karmalizm is a Gold Sprints club event in Tokyo and is organized by bike messenger, Go-Go.
Last year I was 2nd place in the non-messenger category. This year, I was second place again. In the final round of the tournament, I was so tired that my legs went totally numb. But, I got the second fastest time overall. The fastest time was by Tomohiro Nagatsuka, who went to Beijing to represent Japan in the Olympics (he also won a silver medal in Athens four years ago and got a lot of press for wearing Speedo’s "record-breaking LZR Racer swimwear beneath his track racing suit in his quest for a medal at the Beijing Games"). I was honored just to meet him. Coming second against a pro-Keirin racer/Olympic Medalist felt pretty good. Nochi won the crown for first place messenger, Kohsuke won 1st in the non-messenger category, and Maki was the fastest girl. I had so much fun and I think everyone else there had a blast, too. There were free tequila shots all night, so it would have been hard not to have had fun.
Thanks to Go-Go and the sponsors and everyone else who made it happen. See you at Karmalizm '09.
Music in this video:
"Everyone's a Winner" by Hot Chocolate
"Ride Your Pony" by The Meters
"Unstoppable" by Santogold and Benga (Mixed by Diplo)
P.S. On Monday, September 8th, 2008, I was asked by Go-Go to remove a section of this video to protect a certain someone who was wearing a certain outfit. I have removed this scene from the video. So, at this point, the edit is a bit rough at the end, but I'm too lazy to fix it up, so sorry, the ending has no music. I.E. The "unstoppable" song is no longer included.
