Was she reading off of a manuscript, or recalling it all from memory?
Is this from a video? It sounds like a Veggie Tales narration of the Bible story! Thanks for sharing.
The reason I asked weather it was from a manuscript or not, was that she got several commonly mistaken details correct, primarily the part about Jonah being swallowed by a "big fish" (as the Bible says) while many (both young and old) tend to assume it was a whale.
You have every reason to be proud of her, and I hope she keeps her love of Biblical history as she grows older as well. It's quite uncommon today, and it's always nice to see people who show their appreciation for it.
It seems as though some translations differ slightly in that segment, yet the main idea remains the same, it was a large sea creature (whether a whale, shark, or any other fish). And if the type of fish had been significant, I'm sure Jonah would have provided greater detail when describing the fish.
But thanks for bringing up that point Sarah, I quite enjoyed the research. :)
And I apologize, I didn't mean to start a debate at all. I just wanted to convey how impressed I am at the girl's attention to detail.
wow : )
Whose hand was that, under the little girls' right arm at 7:44?
