Here's an experimental podcast I did on Oct 31'st to give a bit of a live update on the work I'm doing in Misiones, Argentina on the music of the Mbyá Guaraní First Nations for The Ethnomusicologist. I wanted to see what I could throw together in a day while nursing a stomachache and participating in backyard BBQ (unrelated to stomach ache), so the editing is quick and dirty and the voiceover improvised.
The video includes some of Iguazú Falls, a part of the Guaraní homeland, an introduction to the music and a project I'm doing with a community here near San Ignacio. Also included is some footage of "LaRisaNuncaeSinFin", a couple traveling throughout Argentina performing circus and theatre in small rural villages...including by chance the communities of Katu-Pyry and Andresito where I'm working.
