Lila Cabbil of the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network spoke on the Food Movements Unite panel at the 2010 Community Food Security Conference in October.

She linked their movement with the Civil Rights movement, and called for a convergence around food security--with different communities working WITH underserved communities rather than coming in and doing things FOR the communities.
