We left Topeka, KS early on April 22 to chase a good setup that was taking place over western Kansas, eastern Colorado, and the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. We targeted the Amarillo area due to the dryline bulge forcasted there and after a long drive, we made it to Clarendon where we watched multiple funnels develop. We ended up trying to catch the cell to the north near Jericho that was producing a tornado and as we were driving north on 70, we saw another tornado developing to our west, near the town of Goodnight. We stopped and watched this tornado for nearly a half an hour, We repositioned north as the cell that produced the tornado passed overhead with violent rotation and possibly a couple more spin-ups.
