The Nissan Juke is unlike any car out there. For a unique car, we participated in a unique launch.
Partnering with TBWA, GRAND helped develop the “Urban Legend” campaign, the first of its kind to launch a car entirely online. For its three viral films, we designed and built three custom YouTube Channel skins. Pushing the limits of a restrictive environment, each skin had unique animations that gave you the same feeling in the Channel that you would get from the films.
To accompany this, there was a mobile version of the Juke Microsite. Here too, we pushed what was technically possible with a 360 degree car configurator that responded to touch, swipe, portrait and landscape view.
It was a site so advanced at the time that even Google described it as “…the best mobile execution we have ever seen,” and appeared as a case in their sales tours to agencies and companies looking for inspiration from an industry leader in mobile.
