One of my favorite hikes ever with my colleagues in the hiking club at Ulead Systems. Surprisingly rugged, nice altitude, a full moon and sub-zero temps at dawn on the first day of 1999.
QiCai Hu (a.k.a., ChiTsai Hu or Rainbow Lake) is the highest "lake" in Taiwan at nearly 3,000m and is a decent day's back country hike in from the nearest road. Or it was in 1999, anyhow.
NOTE: This is just a personal video from the end of the last century and is for friends and family. It was shot using a 1997-era consumer DV camcorder and edited on a homebuilt 0.3GHz single core PC with 256MB of RAM and a 13GB HDD. I hope you don't hold this against me today!
