This is the second and the last part of Vassa Festival in Sayaboury Laos documentary. The actual ceremony was about 3 to 4 hours long. The event consists of the ceremony announcement, the lighting candles, the rain of Lord Buddha Keo, Kane Kow, Ma Kow, charity, and the traditional Laotian dance. However, this video is about 10 minutes long, and it has all the event highlights.
This video contains the English subtitle for all the events. Most of the information was based on the peoples that I interviewed, and the rest was obtained from several web sites. I have to admit this has been quite a learning process for me to do the translation. In part, it is because my Laotian is getting quite rusty. So it may contain inaccurate info for some, but it should be accurate for the most parts.
