This is so wonderful! God has placed in His artists the inspiration to infiltrate once again secular art with Christian art and Christian worldviews. It is not only extremely pertinent and relevant to do so, it is a mirroring of a substantial 'sub-culture' not yet represented in modern art. Great job on the gospels, your paintings, and the video. It is complete and well stated. It made my heart happy! Thank you for the work you do. I'm so pleased also, that a video of this caliber can be circulated. God bless you.

"We, today, have a language to celebrate waywardness, but we do not have a language, a cultural language, to bring people back home." - Fujimura

So very well said. Thank you, Mako.

This helps me to see how I have squandered and stifled the gifts that God has liberally poured into me.
He wants to use us in ways that shatter man's boxed perception of His gift to mankind.
    Amazing.
    I am so encouraged.

There is a Greek word: sunesis. It means the place where streams converge into rivers. It is translated in the KJV once as knowledge, and six times as understanding. It is where streams of thought, ideas, perceptions & understandings flow together into an "Ah-ha!" moment.
Sunesis....Mako has demonstrated that for us.

In many ways, Evangelicals have sold their aesthetic birthright to passing marketers. In doing so, we have lost the connective tissue of transcendent beauty in our corporate worship. I am so grateful that there are people like Mako in the world who realize the expansive role of contemporary art as a means of enlightenment.
    Lovely and well-executed video. Thanks!

Thank you Makoto, for following the leading of the Holy Spirit in bringing art and beauty back to their original grounding in the Creator. Your art is a voice of witness to our Lord in His mission to the world, and a source of inspiration to the Body of Christ.
