Rangers found this wildebeest caught in a snare near the Serengeti / Masai Mara border.

It is a dangerous job of trying to get a firm hold of the animal, pull it down to a secure position, and then use the wire cutters to release the snare.

Eventually rangers were able to release this animal, and it left unharmed.

Woo, scary stuff. Where is the snare attached to? I couldn't work out if it was the leg or head etc. But keep up the amazing work you guys do.

The snare is around the neck, but rangers are going for the back leg as they are trying to take the wildebeest down to the ground.
