Interactive Installation - Diploma Work

ECAL/University of art and design in Lausanne.

Firelaunch is an interactive installation thought for the museum context or temporary exhibitions. The interactive principle is very simple and intuitive; it does not require any pre requisite from the visitor.
With the help of a simple match, the visitor is able to “launch” projected animations that appear over his head and are visible for all other visitors.
The flame of the match is used as the starting point for the animations. Every animation is supported by a sound, giving a more spectacular sensation.
When the visitor goes to crack his match; a tension appears as he wishes to launch the more impressive animation and not a “wet detonator”. This installation is playful but at the same time a research in the inter- active and visual approach.
