An example of how a deterministic linear system displays chaos and can be used for interesting animation. In this system there are 1200 elements which attract one another if they are a certain distance apart, but repel one another if they are closer than that same distance. Also, each element is assigned a color randomly at the begining of the sequence. Like colors attract more strongly and repel more from different colors. I chose red/black for this example.
