Great Videos ... what filters did you use on the video in Post Production?
Love to find out.
Thank you in advance.
Are you using a follow focus? Seems like you have no trouble pulling focus smoothly without adding shakiness. And, great work with the Monopod - you achieve the same steady shots that I can get with my steadicam.....
Thanks for the quick response. I live in SF too, and couldn't make it to the parade. My friends who did make it told me that out of all the videos they have seen, including news footage montages, that yours most accurately captures the excitement. I have the feeling that your 1700 views are about to be catapulted in to the 100k's.
A few more questions from someone who like you, is new to the DSLR world. I have a 5d mark II, and I sometimes get hiccups or blips when I am recording. This is especially true when I am panning, or moving around with my steadicam. Do you have this problem at all with the 7d?
Lastly, what type of Monopod are you using?
Thanks, and sorry for all the questions.
I hope it gets into the 100k's...that would be awesome. I haven't seen blips or hiccups, but I have seen the jello effect when panning quickly...which I have heard a lot about. The monopod was a loner and I didn't check to see which one it was...IF u have any more questions feel free to ask...thanks
Did you use the 7D for all of the Audio? ... how do you feel the audio is compared say to using a Sony HVRZ5U ... or even the sound quality on a Sony PD-150 or 170 ... something where you can split channels?
I thought all the sound was rich and amazing.
It looks like you were everywhere. Did you just take a specific spot on the route or were you walking? Whatever, it was a great video. Couldn't stop smiling.
Simply amazing. I had join vimeo just to tell you. I love the Giants and photography/videography. You're living my dream! I was at both events you shot video for. Your videos totally captured the mood. You and these videos rock! And, great use of the Cal band! Go Bears! Delicious! Love it.
BTW, how did you get this access? The 50mm makes it look like you were like 5 feet away from most of the action. I know it's a crop sensor and all, but again, great capture!

Can't believe this was from a monopd with no follow focus.
Looks great.
