Complicated? You should be able to get most of them for free. You will have to pay to get some of them, but you can find free alternatives. You should be able to just download most of them. What issues are you having?

I mean the part where you copy them from the "illustrator", what is the illustrator?

Illustrator is another adobe software, The images of the birds are taken from a vector file. They are just copied and pasted in as a smart object. These vector files can be found for free all over the internet. :)
