Filmmakers Cary and Yari Wolinsky travel throughout the country to document the work of Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled. From Massachusetts to California, with many stops in between, the film reveals the true magic behind the organization's mission and reminds us of the power of compassion, dedication, and philanthropy.
Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled is a national nonprofit serving quadriplegic and other people with severe spinal cord injuries or mobility-impairments by providing highly trained monkeys to assist with daily activities.
Through the generous support of donors and volunteers, their monkeys are placed at no cost with disabled people and their families.
