This quick and dirty video demonstrates new GIMP's all-in-one widget that is going to be LOVED by graphic tablet users, with hugs, kisses and occasional babies. It combines a label, a handy slider and a numeric input.

You can also spot an improved pop-up dialog to choose a brush and a newly added pop-up dialog to choose a painting dynamics preset.

On a heavier note, somewhere in the middle xvidcap played silly buggers again. And of course it's quite obvious I can't paint unless I'm doing civic duty of other people's torturer :)

The video is done mostly for the traditional weekly review of changes in GIMP's Git repo that I've been writing for GIMP.ru for almost a year.

Hey, This is really great. Is this to be a plug in or an out of the box feature for GIMP 2.8?

This is out of the box for 2.8 :)

Looks great =D also, the rotation slider: sorely missed in 2.6...

  • @Kevin: Indeed :) Let's just hope 2.8 will be out really soon (looks like not this year though).

Thanks for sharing - this is a major improvement over 2.6's brush engine.
