great shots. never seen this process before, thanks for sharing. Is the album any good?
  • Roberto Lepe 1 year ago
funny thing is, is that I still have yet to listen to the album. During the process of shooting the video I would only hear selected parts of the song during the playing of the vinyl. They sent me the album so I can implement a song into the video but i pretty much selected "dreamin" and listened to that about a million times.
Though, amongst the die hard Weezer fans its seems to be regarded as one of the best they have made.

This was a really nice mosaic of the process, which I too, have little-to-no knowledge of. Nice to see the band gave you some love, too. :)

wow! now i really could appreciate what Vinyls go through to get to the stores :P
i could totally see this video as an official video for this track. very unique! :]
  • Roberto Lepe 1 year ago
There was a mention on making this the official vid. Though I dont think it will happen. It was just a comment in the air by the weezer peeps, nothing serious.
There is a lot of work through the process at this specific manufacturing plant ( RTI ) they make sure the whole process is analog. No digitizing what so ever.

wow! its good u keep it cool, but i cross my fingers maybe theyll give this video the official stamp :] and btw...that "scratching check" phase in the video seems pretty interesting!

Very interesting, I learned many things with your video. I guess the people who make those things must have the impression of making some kind of art since vinyls were replaced by CDs a long time ago.

I kinda miss vinyl, except for the inevitable pops. I've actually been buying some old used vinyl lately. Thanks for showing the process.
