Joseph had a pretty rough life, but he never lost his sense of integrity. His life is a great picture of forgiveness.

The video was shot entirely on a greenscreen. The actors were the only elements present during the shoot. The footage was colorized using a plug-in called Film Magic Pro. The music is by an artist named E.S. Posthumus.

I taught myself After Effects but there are a couple good sources for tutorials. The first is videocopilot.net, the second is creativecow.net

    Hope that helps,

Awesome job! I've found your work incredibly inspiring. I also work as a video editor for a church and am trying to teach myself after effects. I see you are also a fan of Andrew Kramer - who isn't?? Great job man! Look forward to seeing more of your work :)

Wow. That truly is inspiring! God has given you an incredible talent and it definitely looks like you are using it for his glory =)

May I ask what the song you used is called? I cannot seem to find the specific song by E.S. Posthumus.

Beautiful! What type of camera are you shooting?
  • Dan Stevers 1 year ago
This was shot with a Panasonic DVX100b. A good camera, but not a great choice for doing greenscreen. I'm looking to get an HVX200 to do more greenscreen work.

Were those real sheep? They almost looked like stop motion.

    Amazing video BTW!
  • Dan Stevers 10 months ago
It was real footage of sheep. I think I might have slowed the framerate which might have made it look like that.

Hey Dan, I'm happy I stumbled onto your page. I was looking for a friend of mine, Jon Crowe. He is the media director for Journey Of Faith church (Manhattan Beach). I saw "Journey" so I clicked on your videos thinking it might be Jon. You make some incredible movies. I've watched your "Joseph" Movie 20 times trying to see all the elements you used. GREAT work!
