The court in the Hague has decided that the Dutch anti-squat law is violating the European treaty of human rights. In specific, the current law does not give squatters an option to go to court when their building is going to be evicted. Thus the law is violating the European law of 'housing right.' Since European laws overrule national laws, the anti-squat law currently can not (in most cases) be proceeded.
The court still has to motivate on which exact points the current anti-squat law is failing.
Following this the state could announce plans for an eventual modified law or.... (?)
