Sweat Free Houston (sweatfreehouston.org/) sponsored Carmen Duran (maquilapolis.com/) to attend the 2010 National SweatFree Summit in Olympia, Washington on Nov. 5-7. Ms. Duran worked in a maquiladora (factory) making television parts in Tijuana, Mexico until the factory closed down and moved to Indonesia without paying the workers their salaries.
