Using Soundtrack Pro's frequency spectrum we can easily see Aphex Twin's hidden face embedded in the waveform of his track "DeltaMi-1=aSigman=1Di(n)(SigmajEC(i)Fij(n-1)+Fexti(n-1))"

I'd like to know if he composed something to get his head in the spectrum, or if he kind of pasted his head in it and decided it was a track.

There are some software programs for converting images into spectral audio files and vise versa: converting sound files into images.
As far as I know this Aphex Twin example was part of the end of the track.
So it's not reallly "embedded" IN the track, or else the music would distort the picture.
But it's a nice weird soundscape at the end of the track that made a few people wonder what the heck he sampled.
Some analyzed the spectrum and discovered this cool easter egg.

He just pasted it in to see the result, few other songs did it about 1999 including a guy who put a picture of his cat. Not much came of it though and not many examples off late
