From 2005. Devastated over the end of his marriage, Newton Miles hires an S & M dungeon to reenact the history of his love life so he can figure out what went wrong.

I was working for Sundance when I submitted this film and got the feedback "you didn't quite hit it when you went for shocking." Shocking was the one thing I wasn't going for... No one curses. The "fetish" outfits include a bear suit and a color guard girl. There are maybe 12 seconds of actual nudity - they are the least prurient 12 seconds of naked I can imagine creating.

A dominatrix I interviewed in preparation for the film called dungeons "Disneyland for grownups." I took that literally, and tried to create a sweet, odd place for mending a broken heart.

Also a big shout out to the band Bear Suit for lending their track "Itsuko got Married" to the final scene.
