Impasse

im·passe, noun.

1. A road or passage having no exit; a cul-de-sac.
2. A situation that is so difficult that no progress can
be made; a deadlock or a stalemate.

This film was created as the practical element of my masters degree thesis. The film studies the 'oneiric' theory; the concept of film and dream sharing the same presence on the viewer - the 'dream screen'.

The film also builds on my study of the soviet montage theory and musique concrète. The use of music as a counterpoint to the visuals is demonstrated; each location in the film has its own aural texture, feel and significance.

Enough of the director's nonsense, though - go watch the film.
