    Great video Nick. Thanks for the behind the scenes view of how you lit these fantastic portraits. Can you tell me more about how you are triggering your flashes and what kind of flashes you are using? I see you are using the Microsync (which I also use,) but what kind of flashes are you using? Does each flash have its own receiver?

    Thanks
    Todd

    Hi Todd

    The flashes are triggered with the Microsync system, they are small Nikon SB800 flashes, I find them more controllable than the Canon equivalent although I shoot on Canons. The flashes are powered with Quantum Power Packs which help them keep up and make them generally more reliable especially if I have the flashes on full power as I often do in strong sunlight. Each Flash does have its own receiver.

    Hope that helps Todd, thanks for the comment.

    @skywalker85

    I use black foil to snoot the lights because you can shape it and shorten it very easily and quickly depending on the nature of your subject.

    I checked all your videos, top stuff from a top photographer, this is way above all the average junk one often finds on the web.
    Thanks for sharing your inspiration and techniques with us.
    I will start testing this myself straight away... again THANKS.
