DiDik NiNi ThoWok is a famous Indonesian master dancer. A world class cross-gender artist.

In 1999 we made a 1 hour inflight video magazine for all Garuda airplains. For this item we used my first Sony DV VX1000 camera on a Steadicam Jr. We were invited at his danceschool in Yogyakarta Java Indonesia. He showed us after an interesting Balinese dance training, this most amazing dance: two dancers in one. Jepindo Walang Kekek, a dance that draws fantastic techniques from Japanese dance and from the Indonesian dance Tari Dwimuka, two-faced masked dance, to portray two different characters that may co-exist in one person. I was glad to get the opportunity to film this in the mirror so you can watch both sides at once. Jepindo Walang Kekek also borrows movements from Balinese dance Legong Bapang in the Saba style.

For the extreme close-ups I used a macro +3 lens. Origional DV Footage captures with Canopus DV Storm Edius card Upper field first, 1.0296 Pal DV None and 1024x576x24 Double Rendered in Sony Vegas MPG4 Progressive scan.
