This was my first short film, commissioned by the Irish Film Board in 2002. It was made using experimental techniques using traditional 3d/2d software. The narrative is based on a thought experiment regarding creativity and the mind. It took me 10 months to complete, and became a personal journey of intuitive film making, without using a script or storyboard. For further info visit butterfly.ie

    Una niña, que juega en círculo.
    Mariposas; luego de un día intenso, mueren cansadas de vivir.
    De aleteos, un florido vórtice hiperactivo.
    Posteriormente; un otoño de cenizas, que se desgrana en mariposas.
    Y hacia el centro de claridad, un retorno desde lo oscuro.
    De la niña finalmente, se muestra sus pasos únicamente.

    Conceptúo que el video trata “de la vida pujante, pero condicionada en el proceso”; un proceso inminente hacia la decrepitud, pero también de decisiones HACIA POSIBILIDADES.

    Los realizadores de esta pieza artística magistral, pueden que se hayan basado en el CARPE DIEM.
