My son loaned me his Panasonic camcorder, and I bought Sony Vegas. I've become totally addicted to filming the wild things in my backyard. I only have Platinum 8, but I think the software is amazing. You cant beat the price, or its range of capabilities.
This video only has a small handful of the snazzier effects I've discovered. I love the ease of use, having never edited video prior, I was amazed at how easy it is to trim, move, expand and contract clips. It made it much easier to manipulate the clips so the the birds and lizards can dance to the music. Every clip had been edited in one way or another. I used it mostly for color correction and timing. Now that I'm getting the hang of this I think it might be nearing the time for me to invest in a nicer camera.
