FIREBIRD is a live performance piece created by Etsuko Ichikawa, visual artist, in collaboration with Mizue Trinidad, dancer. As Stravinsky’s The Firebird dramatically unfolds, Etsuko initiated the visual and emotional dialogues by creating abstract drawings using molten glass as if it were her paintbrush. Mizue then responded with her body movements while six glass blowers were busy blowing and casting glass behind the scene. This performance piece premiered at Museum of Glass on September 11, 2010.
