Jake’s Sandwich Board has created the ultimate sandwich of the fall- “The Turducken”. a fresh-baked roll smothered in cranberry spread, and a layer of apple-sausage stuffing, and then stuffed with slow-roasted, Creole-seasoned, thin slices of turkey, duck and chicken. The masterpiece is topped off with savory brown gravy and our own crispy hash browns!
This revered dish of the south has taken a backseat in the main stream for a few years since hall of fame broadcaster John Madden retired the Turducken tradition. Madden ignited a cult following by using his bear hands to carve a Turducken on CBS years ago to the winners of the Thanksgiving Day football game. John Madden retired from a historical football career in 2009. “We grew up watching Madden, listening to Madden, playing Madden, and now we can let our customers eat Madden”, said proprietors Gary Dorfman and Sean Stein.
Jake's will serve the Turducken for the remainder of the month for $10 per sandwich.
Jake’s Sandwich Board hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9am to 8pm and Saturday, 11am-8pm.
