Paul Grundy, MD, President of the Patient Centered Primary Care Consortium in Washington, DC, made his fourth visit to the CAFP last week. He spent the morning with CAFP staff strategizing about PCMH actions. Dr. Grundy is a driving force for PCMH – leading IBM’s efforts to change how it insurers its employees and leading the Patient Centered Primary Care Consortium, a group of more than 100 organizations, businesses and agencies pushing the PCMH as a logical solution to health care in the US. Dr. Grundy spoke with CAFP staff about family medicine’s role at the center of the PCMH, calling family physicians comprehensivists who should naturally lead the medical home team!
