1966 da Cine Foto HÜ kulubünün başkanı olarak annemin öğretmenlik yaptığı köylere gittim.
Annem Atatürkün ilk yetiştirdiği yeni alfabede eğitim görmüş öğretmenlerdendi.

Kanuni zorunluluğu üç sene olmasına rağmen o on sene kaldı.

Çok çeşitli zorluklarlar karşılaştı. Çamaşırları asarken kurtlar saldırdı. Sağlık memuru öğrenci olmadığı için okulu kümese çevirmişti gerici bir İslamist idi annemi tehdit etti. En küçük kardeşimi köyde doğurdu. Bebek ters geldiği için hayvanların doğumuna yardım eden yaşlı ebe doğurttu. Kızları okula göndermediler, annem kanun zoru ile topladı eğitti ve okuma yazma öğrendiler.

Kısaca bu Türk, Kürt ve laz köylerinde geçen yılların hikayesi bunları bende onunla beraber yaşadım.

Babamda soy adına ve büyük dedemin anısına uyarak köylere pınar yaptırdı.

Annemin ve Babamın anısına bu sergiyi yaptım.

The government sent them for three years rural work but they stayed ten years. Mom was a teacher she worked very hard to educate the girls even resistance from villagers and an Islamist
Health worker. She struggled with wolves during hanging laundry and human reactionary forces against learning and education of girls.
Scarcity of food and health facilities.
Old village women in charge of helping birth of cows helped her for my small brothers medically dangerous birth and she was successful.

I went to her Turkish, Kurdish, and Laz villages where she worked as a teacher after forty years and shot these photos.

These photos are dedicated the memories of my mom and dad.
